If you are interested in establishing an internet based business, I'm going to show you how to go about doing just that. However, before we delve into that, let me clarify a few things:
Phew! Now that I've got that out of the way, exactly what are we going to discuss here?
Please note: When I talk about "no financial risk" I'm assuming that you already have a computer and an internet connection and that you do not need to purchase these items or services.
As I've stated before, one of my primary objectives in building this site is to provide you with the tools to achieve a better quality of life. So lay aside your skepticism for a while and digest this with an open mind.
While I cannot guarantee your success, if you follow the no-risk approach that I suggest, your chances of success soar to predictable levels and you have no downside.
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!
I'm not an Internet Marketing Guru but I do have extensive experience with the internet and technology in general.
I've been a consultant in the Information Technology industry for over 12 years. In that capacity, I have developed complex digital and internet strategies, for Fortune 1000 companies as well as for small businesses, which have proven to be very successful. These strategies can be used by large corporations and individuals alike. The basic principles for success remain the same.
As a consultant in the IT industry, it is my business to keep abreast of things related to the internet. Besides, I enjoy discovering what works and what doesn't work on the internet. I frequently order materials from so-called "Internet Marketing Gurus" in order to find out what people are doing on the net. I've ordered thousands of dollars worth of e-books, printed manuals, audio and video courses and subscriptions to various web sites and email news letters.
While some of these courses contain good material and advice, most of them underdeliver and contain a lot of hype and some really bad advice. In fact, in some cases, following their advice would create severe problems for the erstwhile entrepreneur. The problem is further complicated by the fact that, for those who are not familiar with the subject, it becomes very difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff.
I've studied what works and I've been involved in implementing successful strategies for my grateful clients. If you follow the steps that I have outlined, then six months from today you will be able to look back and say, "I can't believe how simple that was. I wish I had known about this sooner."
You'll be hooked and ready to do it all over again
... and again ... and again.
Please don't misunderstand this to mean that you don't need to put in any effort into this. Like any real business, you need passion and commitment to make it work and become successful; whatever your definition of success is. You may wish to spend a couple of hours a week and make a few hundred dollars of extra income per month and that might satisfy you. Or, you may aspire to become an internet tycoon. That's fine too. It's your choice and you decide the level of commitment that you wish to make.
You will get out of this exactly what you put into it.
The internet is a powerful business platform. I'm not going to bore you by subjecting you to figures and statistics on the adoption of the internet by businesses and consumers alike. I'm sure that you have heard or read all of that before.
But the internet is also the perfect platform for stutterers.
Why? ...
Because it lets you sell like an expert salesperson. What? You say you don't like to sell? The fact is that you sell all the time! At the very least, you market yourself; at job interviews, when making new friends and on numerous other occasions. If you want to be in business for yourself and make serious money, you have to sell. If you really don't want to sell, you need to re-think this business stuff and hang on to your job for dear life.
Good communication skills are an important sales tool that a successful businessperson should possess. As a stutterer, should I give up trying to become an effective communicator? Of course not! But I wouldn't stand up on a podium and attempt to convey my message to a room full of people either. There are other means of communicating effectively. The written word is just as powerful, perhaps more so, and ...
the internet gives you the opportunity to become an effective communicator ... and a successful businessperson.
The internet, lets you choose how you communicate with your constituents. Besides your web site, email is the primary mode of communication on the internet. It is the only business platform that allows you to control the amount of verbal communication you have with your clients, vendors and affiliates.
On the internet, there is no difference between a stutterer and a non-stutterer!
We get equal consideration here. No strange looks to contend with, nor the ubiquitous smirks.
There aren't too many variables involved in creating a successful online presence. However, there is a right way to do things on the net and many wrong ways. Doing it the right way brings success and doing it the wrong way inevitably invites disaster.
If I wanted to start an internet based business, either a new one or to augment my offline business and I did not know anything about establishing such a presence on the internet, I would want:
You don't seriously believe that this ideal situation exists. Do you? I didn't think so.
I'm going to show you that it does!
Is it possible to do business and make money on the internet? Yes!
That's a resounding YES!
... and you can do it whether or not you have a product or service of your own to sell.
I've mentioned that I like to scour the internet in an effort to keep abreast of new developments. During one such didactic search I came across Dr. Ken Evoy's MYSS! (Make Your Site Sell) e-book.
Soon after that, a few internet gurus were ranting and raving about it on their web sites. I resisted buying the book because it cost $17 (USD) and I wondered what I would get for such a paltry sum. Other courses online are priced between $150 and $3500 and the quality of material contained within most of them fail to adequately justify their cost.
After several months, I finally relented and ordered Ken's book; with reservation. (I've since upgraded to the new version, MYSS! 2002.)
MYSS! 2002 delivers so much good advice and nothing but good advice. In a word, it's simply brilliant! Ken has written the ultimate manual on creating a successful business on the internet. He has an incisive mind and the ability to take a complex subject, analyze and dissect it, break it down into manageable units and present a lucid and practical approach to it; one that is repeatable by anyone. The new and vastly expanded version of his book, MYSS! 2002, costs about $30 (USD) and is offered with an unconditional, lifetime money back guarantee.
In my opinion, it is worth several times its price.
The first step in your effort to create an internet based business is to get your hands on this superb manual, digest it and internalize it. Ken uses simple, every day language to explain all the concepts that you need to learn in such a way that even a novice is able to understand and absorb the material. He tells you what works and what doesn't on the internet by providing examples using his own real-life experience. This book contains no theory or hype and it is a lot of fun to read.
The knowledge that you will gain in reading MYSS! 2002 will put you ahead of even the so-called "Internet Gurus" and it will enable you to build your business with confidence and clarity. It literally lights your path to success.
There are essentially 2 ways to make money on the internet:
For brevity, I will refer to "products & services" as "product" to illustrate a few important concepts for revenue generation. These concepts will apply equally well to services.
You will make the most money if you are successfully able to sell your own product. I will not discuss how you can go about selling your own product since it would require several pages to do so. MYSS! 2002 addresses this in great detail and far better than I can, here on this page. The discussion below, does however, pertain to you if you have a product of your own to sell.
Most of us do not have a product of our own. It's expensive and time consuming to develop a product. Merchants that do have a product, though, are looking to sell the same on the net. That's where you come in. You would create a content based web site and drive traffic to the merchant's site. The merchant, in turn, will pay you an agreed upon commission for any product that your visitor purchases from her site. By doing so, you have become an affiliate or an associate of that particular merchant.
Affiliate or Associate Programs, as they are known, are the current rainmakers of internet marketing. In essence an affiliate program is a revenue sharing arrangement between a merchant and a site owner where the merchant pays the site owner a commission for generating referred sales. There are several types of Affiliate programs: Pay Per Click, Pay Per Lead and Pay Per Sale. Of the three, the Pay Per Sale type of affiliate program is by far the most popular and that is what we will discuss here.
Affiliate programs are a win-win situation for both parties.
Advantages for the Merchant are:
Advantages for You (the Affiliate) are:
There are literally thousands of affiliate programs on the net. Most of them are free to join. Be wary of the ones that charge a fee. I would keep away from them. Each merchant or company offering an affiliate program has its own terms and conditions as well as commission structure.
Let's take an example so that you fully appreciate the power of generating income through affiliate programs. Suppose your passion is health related issues and you create a health related web site. Your site provides great content and refers your visitors to affiliate sites. Now let's assume that your site gets about 6000 visitors per month. That is really not a large number of visitors. It averages out to about 200 visitors per day.
I did a search for health related affiliate programs and came up with more than 150 merchant sites. Choosing the best 8 to 10 of these affiliate programs should not be very difficult. For our example, we will take an average commission rate of 25%. Of the 6000 visitors per month, lets say that 5000 of them click on at least one of your affiliate links. Of the 5000, we'll assume that 2% actually end up buying products averaging $50 each. So you have 100 x 50 or $5,000 in total sales for the month. Your commission for that month (at 25%) would be $1,250. Not bad! I'm sure that you can think of something to do with an extra $1,250 per month.
As your traffic increases, your commission checks will also increase. In fact, there are techniques that you can use to significantly increase your commissions. Also, once your site has been built, you only need to do a little maintenance work and add a page or two per week. Now imagine your income potential as you create several more sites, all generating a little income per month!
Please note that this is an example and it is not representative of what you may be able to achieve. I cannot promise you that you will make a certain amount of money within a given time period.

In order to insulate yourself from industry related fluctuations and other adverse factors, you should create multiple income streams by creating multiple web sites. That way, if one of your sites gets affected by industry or economic cycles, the others will still provide a reliable and consistent stream of income.
Multiple small streams of income = Financial Independence
Once your income from your online businesses equals or surpasses your income from your job, you can safely give up your job and concentrate on building several more online income streams. Please don't give up your job before that. In fact keeping your job will take the pressure off of you to generate instant income.
Resist the temptation of pursuing that one large site that you believe will make you wealthy. If you see such potential in a site that you have created, first continue to build other smaller sites before you eventually build up the one site that you perceive as having the most potential. A lot of people try for the big bang. Big bangs are good if they work ... but if they fail, they have the tendency to create insurmountable set backs. It then becomes difficult to get up and try again, especially if you've used up all your resources.
Don't let all this talk about building multiple web sites make you nervous. Not to worry; you don't need to be technology savvy to build these sites.
This site has been developed using plain vanilla HTML and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). These are simple technologies that anyone can learn. I have one single page with JavaScript in it and I didn't even write it myself! I took what someone else had written and, with his permission, I incorporated it into my page. All the graphics for the site were created using a simple image editing program. All other images were downloaded or provided to me by the owner of the respective product that the graphic represents. In short ...
Besides very basic HTML markup and CSS, I did not require any deep technology, programming or graphics knowledge to build this site.
There are several HTML and CSS learning resources available on the web. A few short days of working with these tutorials will enable you to build a similar site as I have. A simple search, in your favorite search engine, will locate numerous sites that offer free tutorials. Just type in "HTML tutorial" as a search phrase. MYSS! 2002 lists several of them too.
Ok! I know what you're thinking: "Do I really need to spend time learning all this technology gobble-de-gook, registering domain names, researching keywords and performing search engine submissions?"
No, you certainly don't!
It is indeed possible to build a professional web site without getting your hands dirty with all the techno-wiz stuff. I suspect that you knew I was going to say that, didn't you? After all, I did say that anybody can do this ... and I meant it!
Once again, Dr. Ken Evoy's genius comes to our aid. Ken has built an amazing piece of software that insulates you from everything. It's called Site Build It or SBI for short. SBI lets you concentrate on what you know and what you are interested in: writing the content for your site. Everything else is done for you with the click of a button. It just cannot get any simpler than this.
SBI costs approximately $300 (USD) and, in true Ken style, it comes with an unconditional money back guarantee. It provides a wide variety of tools which would cost you at least 10 times the price of SBI if you were to buy each one separately. And you still would not get all the integrated functionality that is provided by SBI. SBI does it all; from registering your domain name to building your site and submitting it to search engines. It also provides free professional web site hosting for an entire year at no additional cost to you. Using SBI is by far the quickest way to get your site up and running as well as generating targeted traffic to it. It hand holds you through everything. All you do is provide the content!

Even if you are an expert at building web sites, I recommend that you take a good look at Site Build It. SBI will save you a tremendous amount of time. You will have your site up and running in a fraction of the time that it normally takes you to build one. More importantly, SBI builds your site using the time-tested, excellent methodology and framework outlined in MYSS! 2002.
What does it cost to build a web site and to get targeted traffic to it? At the minimum, and only if you know exactly what you are doing, you need to register a domain name for your site and you will need to host your site at a reliable hosting service. You will need an image editing program for creating graphics or page titles (like the ones I have). You will also need a good search engine submission software that submits your pages as if they were hand submitted by you. Here's the cost for the bare minimum requirements:
NOTE: None of this cost is refundable.
There is NO money back guarantee!
If you've never built a web site before, it will cost you $1000 to $5000 depending upon how much of the work you outsource. Your time investment is not included in this cost.
Ok! I know, I know! If you've been following along closely then your thinking: "Wait a minute! You've already shown us how to do this for much less than the numbers above ... and WITH a money back guarantee. So what gives?"
If you've seen the light, I bet you're getting really excited just about now. If not, let me spell it out for you.
NOTE: All of this cost is 100% refundable
with an iron-clad Unconditional money back guarantee!
Not only will you spend less and get a whole lot more for your money but you have no risk what-so-ever. Ken's unconditional money back guarantee lets you walk away from it all, if you so desire.
I predict that like a lot of SBI site owners, you will end up with several SBI sites once you get going.
If you're very new to computers and if you need technical assistance to get up and running, you have several options available to you. Besides asking a tech-savvy friend for help, the following additional options are available to you:
Option One - Online How-To Guides
There are several sites on the net that provide free how-to guides for various applications and technologies. Fire up your favorite search engine and do a search for the particular application that you want help on and include the keywords "how to" and or "guide"
Option Two - How-To Books
Visit a book store and look for "Quick Start" or the "for Dummies" guides. I use these myself and find that, although they are not very detailed and in-depth, they do provide enough information to get me going with a particular application.
Option Three - SupportFreaks
If you're on a deserted island with a laptop and a wireless connection to the internet, hoping to get your site up before some ship rescues you, then I suggest that you contact a SupportFreak.
SupportFreaks provides low cost, per incident, expert help on a variety of applications and technologies. They have a stable of support freaks from all over the world who are knowledgeable in various technologies. You will be charged a small fee per incident. If they are able to resolve your problem within 10 minutes, it will cost you nothing.
It has been my experience that SupportFreaks is a very customer oriented company and a pleasure to work with. I have had the opportunity to speak with one of the founding members of the company and I can tell you that the dedication and customer focus that they bring to the table are exemplary.
And the fourth option is ...

Please note that, at the minimum, you need to have taken the 5-day Affiliate Masters Course in order to understand the contents of my newsletter. Without this information, it will be very difficult to grasp the concepts that I will be presenting.
Also, feel free to contact me via email with questions. If I am personally unable to provide an answer, either because I don't know the answer (imagine that :-)) or due to a of lack of time, I will attempt to point you in the right direction or to the right resource. Please understand that I may not have the time to answer all questions and my replies to your emails might be short; even one-liners. If that does not bother you then fire away.
"Making money" should NOT be your primary goal. That will be your primary benefit. Concentrate, instead, on providing value to your visitors. Take the long-term approach and you will succeed. If your visitors perceive the value in your content, they will likely return to your site. They will also tell their friends about your site and you will experience an increase in traffic due to that.
Develop a relationship with your visitors and make them feel comfortable. You need to create a feeling of trust for you, in the minds of your visitors. If your sole mission is to make money, then that will come through in your choice of words and your audience will shy away; or rather "click away" from your site.
Above all, never try and cheat people. If you are intelligent enough to make money by cheating people you are also intelligent enough to make money by being sincere and honest. The internet gives new meaning to "It's a small world". If you attempt to cheat people, someone will likely expose you on the internet. Achieving success while maintaining a good conscience is very rewarding. It makes you feel good about yourself and creates a sense of proud achievement.
Here are some goals that you should seek to achieve:
